First Impression: Pura Naturals Murumuru Moisture Milk

Hello Friends,

This is going to be the first of many first impressions, the first one was supposed to be on the Shea Moisture deep conditioner but oh well.

This bad boy looks like the picture posted above and because the site was out of the Lemongrass scent, instead of going towards getting the unscented I decided to go ahead and get the Tahitian Vanilla scent. Upon opening it first I was taken back, don't get me wrong I LOVE the smell of vanilla but this smelled just like the cheap candles you get from the store. Hopefully the smell grows on me and doesn't linger because it's going to give me a headache.

The jar is in a light blocking blue bottle which is VERY nice to keep the oil nice and fresh. Upon my first application I put it on my hair in the evening because I already put almond oil on my hair so I just put this on and went about the rest of my evening. It comes out of the bottle in what looks like a creamy thick consistency, but once I rubbed it into my hair and applied it to my hair it was light and fluffy, looks can be deceiving.

And verdict is I LOVE THIS STUFF, at least right now. It soaked into my hair like it was made for it and it's wonderful, I only used about a dime amount since the bottle never said how much to use and I feel like I used a good amount, just sectioned my hair nape and the top and one hand get either section for a even application. Now I haven't washed my hair since the last wash day, onlt flat ironed for a easier cut.

My hair feels AMAZING, so soft, softer then with just the almond oil on it, so I think this baby is going to be a keeper for right now.

Stay tuned for a review on this in the future.

First Impression: Shea Moisture Anti-Breakage Masque

Hello Friends!

This is just going to be a short blurb before I release the next post on this bad boy. This is my first impression of the product named above.

On my last wash day on week 6 I finally tried this out. It left my hair very fluffy and the smell was wonderful, it really complimented my shampoo and conditioner. The smell did not linger either, only a few hours at most and unless I was purposefully trying to smell my hair, the smell was not there.

The texture of this is very thick, but with reason, it soaked into my hair with ease, however washing it out I felt like I did not get it all out. I'll see if that continues with later wash days. I do feel like the name holds true to what it does, my hair still feels like it's holding moisture even with these winter blizzard coming in and having my hair down.

Have you guys ever tried this product because I'm slowly falling in love with the Shea Moisture line.

Jojoba Oil?!

Hello Friends,

And late Merry Christmas (over happy holidays if you do not celebrate)

I have decided to use this oil on my most current wash day as a pre-poo and my hair felt great after I washed it out. I wonder why I never thought to do this before because my hair was as soft as it usually is after I condition it, and before washing it out my new growth felt soft and moisturized. I do feel like this particular wash day I did get a little oil crazy, and it was so shiny but once I get the hang of pre-pooing this will probably be my best friend.

Anywho, I've been experimenting with different types of oils lately, (coconut, Argan, Moroccan) . I do have very thick hair and surprisingly it tends to get weighed down pretty easily. However, this oil, like coconut is light enough for me to use without weighing down my hair. I love this oil because it isn't greasy (one thing I HATE) but I feel like it's moisturized without having to put a lot in.

And after a bit of research, I've found that this oil is good for tons of things such as:
  • Jojoba is great for...
    • Deep Conditioners
    • deep conditioning enchantment.
    • combating dryness
    • make up remover or even a face/ nail moisturizer.
    • hair de-tangler
    • a way to get rid of product residue
    • also a hair sebum substitute
